Amelanchier lamarckii is usually a multi-stem ornamental shrub. The bloom, with white flowers, falls early in the spring around the period from April to May. After flowering, black-blue edible berries are formed (the currants). Birds like to eat these berries. In the fall, the currant tree has a beautiful orange-red autumn color with red-colored leaves. The Amelanchier lamarckii can reach an adult height of around 6 meters. This allows this plant to be used as a tree and as a shrub.
