The leaf of Hydrangea quercifolia resembles, as the name quercifolia (quercus = oak) suggests a leaf of an oak. The leaf has a green color and will turn to a purplish red color in the fall. The Hydrangea quercifolia flowers white plumes of flowers with sterile decoy flowers, which appear on 2-year-old wood in the period July-September. This hydrangea grows to a height of approximately 140-160 cm and should be in a spot with partial shade or in the sun.
