The Carpinus Betulus is a beautiful fast-growing hedge. The Carpinus Betulus hornbeam is deciduous, and those leaves resemble those of the common beech, the Fagus Sylvatica. The leaves turn yellow in autumn and the hedge is bare in winter. When the hedge starts flowering again, it gets its green leaves back. This hornbeam only needs to be pruned once a year around June 21. The plant can grow / bloom in all soil types and it does not matter whether the plant is in shade, partial shade or in the sun.
